*The 15th meeting of the leaders of BRICS countries issued a statement on the expansion of BRICS organizations, that six countries including Argentina and Egypt were invited to join the BRICS cooperation mechanism.

 

Financials

*MoF issued “Notice on Strengthening the Implementation of Financial and Tax Support Policies to Promote High-Quality Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”, which proposed to strengthen government procurement support policies and further expand their procurement share in small and medium-sized enterprises, and Support the specialized and special new development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

*CITIC SECURITIES (600030 CH) released “Notice on Reducing Investor Trading Commission” on August 24th, which stated that starting from August 28th, the co will uniformly reduce the trading commission for existing investors. With the SSE/SZSE, which involves trading commissions for A-shares, B-shares and depositary receipts, will be uniformly reduced by 0.00146% based on the original commission of investors.

*CSRC held a symposium with the National Social Security Fund Council and the heads of some large banking and insurance institutions, which emphasized to provide more powerful support and guarantee for medium to long-term capital participation in the capital market.

 

Industrial Economy

*State Council Premier Li Qiang conducted research in Guangdong from August 22nd to 24th, whom emphasized to foster innovative enterprises and accelerate the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.

*NDRC and other six departments jointly issued a notice requesting to summarize and refine the prevention and control practices of the COVID-19 epidemic, make up for the shortcomings of public health and environmental facilities, and carry out urban-rural environmental sanitation cleaning and rectification.

*NDRC and other three departments jointly issued the "Action on Improvement of Environmental Infrastructure Construction Level", which proposed that by 2025, the capacity and level of environmental infrastructure treatment and disposal will be significantly improved, with an additional sewage treatment capacity of 12 million cubic meters per day, 45k kilometers of sewage collection pipe network will be added and renovated.

* Global crude oil price closed mixed. October NYMEX crude oil contract down 0.01% to closed at $78.88/b, October Brent contract up 0.02% to closed at $83.23/b. INE crude oil active contract up 0.26% to 626.7 yuan/b.

* Precious metals closed down collectively. COMEX gold active contract down 0.17% to closed at $1944.7/oz. SHFE gold active contract down 0.06% and closed at 459.12 yuan/gram.

* Metals closed down mostly, LME aluminum down 1.15%, LME copper down 1.08%, LME tin down 1.05%, LME zinc up 0.65%. SHFE tin down 0.56%, SHFE copper down 0.46%, SHFE zinc up 0.64%.

* Commodity futures closed mixed. Chemistry and energy products performed mixed, soda ash up 1.66%, low sulfur fuel oil up 1.37%, glass down 1.16%. Black series closed down collectively, coking coal down 1.24%, coke down 1.09%. Agricultural products closed up mostly, rapeseed oil up 1.24%, No.2 soybeans up 1.21%, soybean oil up 1.21%.
